Lachlan Fitt – Co-Founder, Global Jockeys League
“Building a league where jockeys aren’t just part of the story—they are the story.”
Lachlan Fitt is a trailblazer in global sports strategy, best known for his sharp vision and deep respect for horse racing’s cultural heritage. Born and raised in Australia—a nation where racing is woven into the fabric of life—Lachlan developed an early connection to the sport through his family’s involvement in racing and breeding. That passion matured into a lifelong career at the crossroads of international racing, media rights, and elite sporting partnerships.
Before co-founding the Global Jockeys League, Lachlan held senior leadership positions across several world-class racing jurisdictions, including Racing Victoria and the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He also served as Director of Strategy and International Affairs for the British Horseracing Authority, where he helped modernize racing’s global footprint.
Lachlan’s gift lies in seeing the full picture—from boardroom to backstretch. His global outlook, paired with a fierce advocacy for jockey welfare and storytelling, makes him a driving force behind the League’s mission to create a more connected, elevated, and athlete-focused future for the sport. Grounded, gracious, and forward-thinking, Lachlan brings heart and humility to every decision—making him not just a founder, but a builder of something truly transformative.
